This Destiny/ Thundercats Crossover Is Everything We Never Knew We Wanted!
Destiny 2 is finally out; and what better what to celebrate that with the crossover we never knew we wanted until this moment. Guardians, Ho!!!!! Earlier this week, Youtuber Pandamusk released this video showing one of our favorite 80s cartoons reimagined with our favorite Destiny characters. And it’s incredible how well these two franchises fit together!
The makings of a good crossover fan piece are dependent on whether or not the resulting fusion still retains the uniqueness of both series, while still seeming interchangeable. And this work succeeds with flying colors as it brilliantly matches the original both visually and audibly! Each scene is a wonderful reimagining of the original and fits so well, you’d think they were … ‘destined’ to crossover. In fact, I haven’t seen a crossover video with this much attention to detail since How It Should Have Ended made “Bat-Blood”!
Though my personal favorite moment has to be seeing Cayde-6 (aka Nathan Fillion) go from his usual Gunslinger nature to the new Arcstrider class. It’s elegant, it’s badass and actually makes me more open to playing this new class. And who knows! Maybe we’ll actually see Cayde-6 do just that in the new game. Only time will tell, but for now I’m certain that this is the crossover I’ve waited all summer for. Bravo Pandamusk! Bravo! I can’t wait to see what you do next!
