New Legends of Tomorrow Trailer Previews the Craziness to Come

Now that the Legends have succeeded in breaking time, Season 3 will find them trying to set it right. Naturally, things won’t go always go so smoothly. It looks like time is so messed up that everything, from people to animals to things, has been scattered across the timeline as Julius Caesar makes an appearance on the sunny beaches of Aruba. So who knows what other craziness mix-ups are in store in Season 3.

The trailer also gives us our first look at newcomer Tala Ashe, who will play Muslim-American hacktivist Zari Adrianna Tomaz. Zari hails from the year 2042 from a dystopian police state. From the one scene we get, I already like her. She’s going to bring some serious sass to the crew (I can’t wait for her and Mick to share some scenes) and a much different voice.

This season seems to be pulling its focus to Amaya, who made the decision to stay on the Waverider instead of returning to 1942. Her choice will have dire consequences as her family is set to protect the Zambesi totems, which grant the user incredible power. Amaya is the owner of the Anasi totem, allowing her to harness the abilities of animals. In the teaser that premiered at SDCC, it was revealed that Kuasa, one of Amaya’s granddaughters, will be one of the main antagonists of the season. It will be interesting to see how Amaya deals with the effects of her decision.

Season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow kicks off Tuesday, October 10, on The CW.
