We’re getting closer and closer to the release of Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, and things are really heating up. With Force Friday II upon us September 1, 2017, it seems that the month is going to be packed with Star Wars goodness, including a new web series that the House of Mouse announced via the Star Wars Show on the official Star Wars YouTube channel.

Co-Host Anthony Carboni of the Star Wars Show will be the host of Science and Star Wars with IBM, which will focus on exploring and experimenting with the science and fantasy of the Star Wars universe and how it relates to actual scientific breakthroughs in our world today. Just like Star Trek, much of the science in Star Wars still remains a pipe dream, while other facets have been or are going to be brought to life.

Plenty of special guests will be on hand to help out including Daniel Logan who portrayed young Boba Fett in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Janina Gavankar who will voice Iden Versio in the upcoming EA game Star Wars Battlefront II, Ashley Eckstein who is the voice of Ahsoka Tano, C-3PO himself, Anthony Daniels and many more as well.

Some of the science and technology that they explore in the show include droids and robotics, blasters, superconducting materials, medical science, and of course, every Star Wars fans favorite weapon, the lightsaber.

The show will be coming some time in September to the official Star Wars YouTube channel, but you can catch more info on the show and the trailer in the video above starting at the 1:50 mark.
