Bethesda MIGHT be Working on a ‘Game Of Thrones’ Video Game – What We Know

The night is dark and full of terrors. So what better time to stay inside and play a video game?

The rumor mill has been working overtime since Target.com just posted a listing for something titled “Bethesda: Game Of Thrones”. Now there is literally nothing else posted about this. No Pre-Order options. No box art. No item descriptions. Nothing. So how are we making the jump to video game?

Well, Bethesda is a video game publisher best known for the Fallout and Skyrim/ Elder Scrolls series. Last year, Bethesda told IGN that players shouldn’t expect an Elder Scrolls 6 game for years and instead should be excited for two new HUGE projects they’re working on. And while these games might not be a Fallout or Elder Scrolls game, each of these new games will involve just as massive a universe. As for whether or not it’s too soon to be hearing about something this big, Bethesda has been known for announcing games 6 months before their release. So whereas we’ve known of some video games for years upon years – I’m looking at you Kingdom Hearts 3 – Bethesda is one such company that could pull a last minute surprise reveal.

Again, it’s all speculation and rumor right now. In fact, it’s something we’d never have imagined without this leak, but it makes sense seeing as Bethesda is known for open-world fantasy games. Additionally with Game of Thrones ending, now would be the perfect time to start branch-off products.
