Fan Fest Picks: Top 5 Arrowverse Ships

As we draw in closer to the premiere’s of some of our favorite CW TV Series, the anticipation and excitement from the Fan Fest team has never been higher. While we are highly looking forward to seeing what sort of storyline each of our heroes will be following this season in their respective shows, there is one thing we are highly looking forward to – the characters themselves.

We have grown attached to these heroes over the past 5 years. We find ourselves cheering for their victories, mourning for their losses, and praying that everyone goes home at the end of the day.

There is one other thing we find ourselves hoping that our heroes (and heroines) discover – love.

In an ultimate dynamic duo event, Arrowverse expert Alyssa and I have compiled a list of our favorite ships all across the Arrowverse fandom.

5. Thea Queen & Roy Harper (Arrow)

Alyssa: When they met, they were both not at great points in their lives, but they grew together. They had their ups and down throughout season 2, but I still get sad that Roy had to leave in season 3. I just feel like they were meant for each other.

Jules: The relationship between Thea and Roy starts off as one of those cheesy situations where you know they are just going to wind up together. The sterotypical party girl who has too much fun and the bad boy of the glades. they are seemingly destined to find each other and I absolutely love it.

4. Maggie Sawyer & Alex Danvers (Supergirl)

Alyssa: I really like their relationship because it feels real. The story of Alex coming to terms with her sexuality was so well done and the two of them together are really great. They are honest with each other, even if it may take a little bit, and are open. Communication is key in a relationship, and they do just that.

Lyla Michaels & John Diggle (Arrow)

Jules: Diggle and Lyla are the most realistic of the couples when it comes to TV relationships. They have a ‘never quit’ mindset, even when things get extremely rocky. They certainly prove that love exists.

3. Oliver Queen & Felicity Smoak (Arrow)

(Jules & Alyssa)

Alyssa: I just really like them together. Felicity is a bright spot in Oliver’s very dark life and he needs that. I felt like their relationship was organic in the first couple of seasons and was sad when Oliver’s secrets drove them apart. Episode 20 of Season 5, “Underneath,” was a really great episode for the two of them as they finally talked through their issues. I’m hopeful that they’ll get back together because I like both of them and want them to be happy.

Jules: Similar to what Alyssa said, Felicity is the light in Oliver’s life. All disguises, capes and costumes come with a cost. You give up a part of yourself that you never truly get back – and that can lead one to a dark mindset. Felicity accidentally stumbled into Oliver’s life in the most magical of ways, and I truly believe they belong together.

2. Sara Lance & Captain Cold (Legends of Tomorrow)

Jules: Although Sara had Nyssa, she is a damaged soul. She found comfort in family and friends, of course, but the one who related to her the most – was absolutely Snart. Had his fate gone differently, I would have absolutely loved to see the two of them have something. The spark is absolutely there.

Cisco Ramon & Gyspy (The Flash)

Alyssa: They are so adorable together and I literally cannot deal with Cisco turning into a rambling mess when he’s around her. Gypsy is definitely the strong, silent type, but there is no doubt that there is a connection between the two of them.

1. Barry Allen & Iris West (The Flash)

Alyssa: This iconic couple was finally given the chance to be together in season 3 and they are just perfect for each other. They have a good relationship and seem very authentic on screen. Some of that probably goes to the chemistry between Grant Gustin and Candice Patton.

Jules: I absolutely adore the story of two childhood friends who fall in love. From the moment these two characters shared a moment on screen, I admired their chemistry. Everything from the conversations to the looks they give each other – is perfection.

Honorable Mentions: Sara Lance & Nyssa Al Ghul, Slade Wilson & Shado
