‘Little Evil’ Is Like Children of the Corn Meets Mayberry & We Couldn’t Be More Excited!

It’s a good time to be Adam Scott right now.

Not only has his new show, Ghosted, been getting some notice, but he’s had roles on The Good Place (NBC) and Big Little Lies (HBO) in the last year. Mr. Scott shows no signs of slowing down with this new movie headed to Netflix next month, Little Evil.

Gary (Adam Scott) has just married the woman of his dreams, Samantha (Evangeline Lily). The one thing Gary didn’t bargain for with this marriage, was some trouble with his young stepson, Lucas. It isn’t the normal type of problems either. Gary begins to grown concerned that due to the unusual circumstances surrounding Lucas’ conception and some additional odd behavior, that there is a good chance he is the actual spawn of Satan.

I mean, if the goat head sock puppet doesn’t convince you this kid is seriously creepy, check out the trailer for yourself!

This combination of horror and comedy, when done well, is always a thing of beauty. Franchises like Shaun of the Dead, Ash vs. Evil Dead and a few others have been successful in this genre, and from the looks of the trailer above, there’s a good chance we could add Little Evil to this list.

Written and directed by Eli Craig, Little Evil also stars Bridget Everett, Clancy Brown, Donald Faison and Chris D’Elia. You can stream the film on Netflix starting September 1.
