Gaming: ‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ – Listen to the RARE Pamela Tapes!

Ever since I first found out that the game Friday the 13: The Game contained the extremely rare items called ‘The Pamela Tapes’, I have been desperately trying to find them. These in-game collectibles are by far the rarest of the rare.

Currently, there are really no known tricks or tips to finding them – it seems to be a matter of absolute and pure random luck. Gamers have watched Youtube videos, researched and even reached out to Gun Media, but the spawns are completely random.

Oh, and did we mention that they were extremely rare?

The Pamela Tapes are comprised of different recordings of the conversation that Mrs. Voorhees has with detectives soon after the Jason drowns while at the Camp at Crystal Lake in 1957.

While this missing puzzle piece to the history of the Friday the 13th franchise is like a golden nugget to us, the story behind them is incredibly cool. They were written by Tom McLoughlin  (Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives), and he really does the franchise incredible justice by crafting a compelling tale of Jason, his mom, and even his Jason’s father – Elias Voorhees.

Jennifer Ann Burton (“Criminal Minds,” “The Office”) stars as Mrs. Voorhees, alongside Dave Fennoy (The Walking Dead: A Telltale Series Season 1, World of Warcraft) as Detective Joe Maddery and John DeMita (Resident Evil: Vendetta, “Dragon Ball Super”) as Chief Kelley.

Whether you play the games or if you are just a fan of the franchise, you have GOT to check out these tapes… they are so incredible! (and did we mention rare?)

Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor or, Jason Voorhees. If you are a counselor your goal is to either survive, escape or kill Jason. If you’re Jason the object is simple: kill everyone. The game can hold up to 8 players – 7 counselors and a Jason.

Gun Media has officially announced physical copies for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be released on October 13th – which so happens to be a Friday!

They will cost $40, and will include a bonus feature for the physical – a free Bloody Jason Skin for all playable Jasons and free pack of clothing for each of the playable camp counselors.

Friday the 13th: The Game is now available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
