Liam Payne has embarked on his solo career and with two hits so far, an album still to come, and news he’s remaining tight lipped about – fans anxiously await any interview he gives.
So when Buzzfeed posted a video of Liam doing an interview surrounded with puppies, it was absolutely everything we never knew we needed. He’s absolutely smitten with the puppies and we’re smitten with the entire interview quite honestly. Once you watch it, you’ll understand.
A few of our favorite questions he was asked were about his future tour, what he loved about 1D’s first experience together (yep, first…he confirmed again that they’ll be back together), and what makes him happiest right now.
When asked if he’d do smaller venues or large arenas, his answer was one that fans were excited to hear.
‘I think I’d like to go in and play arenas. I love a big stage and I like running around. I actually measured it one time when we were on stage, and we used to do like 6 kilometers a night every time, so I’m used to running around a big stage. So I don’t know how I’d feel going back to a small — I do like smaller venues, it’s nice and intimate, but I love to do like really big shows, and I want to put on a great show for you guys with loads of different elements so we can all have a good time.’
He was also asked about touring with One Direction and said his favorite part was spending a lot of time together when they were younger.
‘My favorite part about touring with the boys was when we were younger, we used to spend a lot of time together on the tour bus. When we did our first American tour, we had a really tiny, small bus, so it was just a lot of fun, just hanging out. And it was like, I don’t know, that was the time when we got to know each other best.‘
His favorite moment in music so far is a One Direction fan favorite.
‘My favorite memory was when we first did Madison Square Garden. We popped out of the floor and it was just the most amazing feeling ever, knowing that we were in Madison Square Garden. And our album — we’d just broke the record for debuting at #1 on the charts, so that was a real fun memory of mine.’
When asked what makes him happiest, his answer is our answer.
‘I would say Pete [the puppy] at this moment in time. Fulfilling life for me.‘
The entire interview can be seen above, and what better way to kick off your Monday than watching Liam Payne surrounded by the cutest puppies ever?
