‘Arrow’: Deathstroke’s son Jericho possibly coming to Arrowverse
Shortly after we learned that Slade Wilson’s son Joe was alive from the Season 5 finale of Arrow, we predicted that we could possibly be seeing the debut of Joe aka ‘Jericho’, which would open up a door to the Teen Titans universe possibility. Now, a casting call unearthed by TVLine may back our prediction.
The site reports that The CW is looking for an Australian teenager to play an “introverted, moody and naturally athletic teenager.”
Being as that Manu Bennett who plays Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, is Australian, this could be a direct tie to him.
In the comics, Slade has two sons: Joe, and Grant. We met Grant in a futuristic world in the sister series Legends of Tomorrow episode “Star City 2046′ ‘ In prior seasons, Joe was referenced to by Slade but we were never 100% sure of his whereabouts or even if he was still alive.
If Slade’s son were to officially make his debut in the Arrowverse this upcoming season, it is unclear whether or not we will get the Joe from the comics or if he would get his own twisted version in the current TV Series.
In the comics, Jericho contains a metahuman power as a result of the biologival experiment done to Slade years before. His abilities allow him to use an astral projection power to take over the bodies of others, speaking and acting convincingly like them while controlling their words and actions.
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, executive producer Wendy Mericle was asked about the character, and whether he might show up in season 6:
“I can’t tell you exactly that. What I can say is that the theme this season is family, and Slade will definitely be, whether it’s flashbacks or present day, we’re not 100% sure yet, he’ll be dealing with similar debate and similar thematic territory.”
