New ‘Justice League’ Concept Art Features Batman’s Flying Fox

When we first met Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman vs Superman, the character was pretty much a lone wolf.  He was independent and used to handling everything on his own.  However, at this point in the DC Entertainment Universe, that’s all about to change as the Justice League is about to be formed.  Affleck commented on how the gang gets together:

“The Batman is typically kind of a loner.   guess you’d call him kind of inward, you know?. He brings [the Justice League] to the Batcave and lets them in on the central conflict of the story, who the enemy is.  There’s a little bit of a Magnificent Seven aspect to it.”

Batman is going to need a new way to get around town with his friends Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and maybe a not so dead Superman.  On Thursday, Entertainment Weekly released some new concept art which shows a Bruce Wayne version of a superhero minivan of sorts, the Flying Fox.  Production designer Patrick Tatopoulos explained the details of the new vehicle:

“You can put three Batmobiles in the lower part of it.  I didn’t want to do a sleek airplane; it needed to feel like an extremely avant-garde classic. With the maneuverability of a jet—but it can actually carry things.  The bottom part of the jet is a huge cargo bay, which the Batmobile sits in.  The second floor is like a cultural center, with computer terminals. The third story is the cockpit. Whatever floor you are on, you can see [the other] two stories.”

Check out the awesome concept art below.  How freakin’ cool does the Flying Fox look in this sketch?

We can’t wait to see this thing and the Justice League in action when the film hits theaters on November 17th.
