Debra Messing and Megan Mullally Officially Kick Off the First Day of Taping the ‘Will & Grace’ Revival Season
Filming officially began Wednesday night for the upcoming revival series of NBC’s Will & Grace and both Debra Messing (who plays Grace) and Megan Mullally (who plays Karen) took to Instagram to kick off the series.
Messing posted a video to her Instagram account feature the four lead stars including herself, Mullally, Eric McCormack (who plays Will) and Sean Hayes (who plays Jack) all together just before going out to film. In the video, Messing says, “it’s opening night! We’re about to shoot it!” She then pans the camera around the room to show her co-stars along with a room full of production folks. We’ve got to say, everyone looks GREAT! Check it out:
Mullally also posted a video to her Instagram of herself documenting the occasion. Behind her is Hayes who is playfully mocking and mimicing what she’s saying until she catches him off guard by saying, “tonight is our first taping and Sean Hayes got fired at the last minute.” He responded with feigned shock and let out a loud, “what!?” Watch Mullally’s video below:
It is so great and refreshing ot see this cast back together, joking around and truly enjoying making the new revival series.
The new episodes will ignore the ending of the original series and pick up the characters’ stories 10 years later, after the 2006 series finale. Will & Grace premieres Thursday, September 28th at 9 pm EST on NBC.
