Sing Street follows a boy growing up in Dublin during the 1980s as escapes his strained family life by starting a band to impress the mysterious girl he likes. It takes place in Ireland, has a phenomenal soundtrack, and is full of youth and life. It’s definitely a good pick for anyone who is looking for some great music, fun, and a little bit of drama.

Lion

This Oscar Nominated movie received wonderful reviews and was a huge contender at the Academy Awards last year. If you’re looking for something more on the action/drama side, look no further than Kurt Sutter’s boxing film Southpaw, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams.
