Gaming: ‘Friday the 13th’ sells 1.8 Million Copies, Physical Disk Date Details Released!
Gun Media and IllFonic have announced that the online Slasher fandom game, Friday the 13th: The Game, has now sold over 1.8 million copies across all platforms. (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
To celebrate this fantastic news, Gun Media has announced that they have plans to release a physical disk for the game. When will this disk become available, may you ask? Well, you may have guessed it… October, 13 2017. Ironically, this date so happens to be a Friday the 13th!
The physical edition will cost $40, and will come with a Bloody Jason skin variant for all playable Jason versions, and a clothing pack for all playable camp counselors.
Wes Keltner, head of Gun Media, said:
While things haven’t been completely smooth we definitely feel confident moving forward. The team has grown and we are committed as we work to add more content, more kills, more to do and of course the single player component to the game.
The game launched earlier this summer, but was quickly met with a variety of complaints due to some technical issues, glitches and bugs. Since then, several patches have been put out which have helped the game run much more smoothly.
