The stars of Annabelle: Creation told Warner Brothers that the mood on set was more chill than scary!

Anthony LaPaglia (Samuel Mullins) and Miranda Otto (Esther Mullins) talked the mood on set during roundtables in advance of the premiere next week and when they were asked if they ever got spooked while filming here’s their surprising response!

“It wasn’t frightening to make. It was a very relaxed and chilled out set.” -Otto

LaPaglia jokingly went on to say that it was in-between takes that the creepy stuff happened.

The two also emphasized girl power, and how some of the girls’ characters may surprise viewers.

“There’s nowhere to run in this film. theres no one to run to. Lulu’s character in the beginning-you think she’s this soft kid and on the out with the other girls, but once she gets determined, she gets out there.” -Otto
The two also explained that the incredible detail-oriented house interior was built inside a sound studio, but the exterior was a real house on Big Sky Ranch filming location.
The next film in the Annabelle franchise hits theaters on August 11th.
