Wentworth Miller and Neal McDonough to Return for Season 3 of ‘Legends of Tomorrow’

Wentworth Miller and Neal McDonough to Return for Season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow

Last season found the Legends facing off against the Legion of Doom, an organization spearheaded by Eobard Thawne and including Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk, and Leonard Snart. After defeating Thawne, the Legends returned Merlyn, Darhk, and Snart to their respective times. But it looks like two of them are making a comeback.

The CW has announced that both Wentworth Miller and Neal McDonough will return in Season 3; McDonough as a series regular, Miller will recur. It was also announced that Arthur Darvill will be a recurring guest star.

It’s interesting that both Darhk and Snart will come back. I’ve missed Snart a lot since he sacrificed himself in Season 1 to stop the Time Masters, and though he came back last season, it wasn’t the same Snart. So I’m wondering what version we will actually see of him. I’m also wondering if he will come back and serve as the principle love interest for Sara Lance again. It’s been hinted that there’s an actual romance in the works for the new captain this season and the two of them really hit it off. Since he’s only recurring, I’m not so sure.

Darhk is the wildcard. He has a zany personality, which actually fits in with the Legends. So the fact that he’s a series regular could mean that the Legends end up recruiting him to help fix time. Darhk got a pretty grim picture of his future, so maybe he wants to turn things around a little bit. Or he could join up with Rip’s new organization and again be an antagonistic force.

We’ll have to wait and see what’s in store for Miller and McDonough when Season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow kicks off Tuesday, October 10 on The CW.
