SDCC: Tom Welling Joins Season 3 of Lucifer Plus a New Trailer
Fans of Lucifer got quite a treat when they attended the panel this afternoon at SDCC. Not only did they get new footage of season 3, they got the announcement that Tom Welling was joining the cast of their favorite show.
Needless to say, it was an awesome panel, even before Welling was brought to the stage. The trailer is what kicked it off, and it’s a bit hilarious. Lucifer is beaten and bloody at the beginning, but he’s got his wings. Upon his return to earth, he surrounds himself with all things ‘pleasure’ – leaving for some obvious room for drama.
Season 3 will be about identity for Lucifer, which is evident from the trailer, but so is his struggle with it.

As the panel went on the characters spoke about what they’d like to do in the next season, more singing in the episodes was promised, and before long, the special guest was brought to the panel floor.
Tom Welling has joined the cast as Lieutenant Marcus Pierce who might possibly have a soft spot for Detective Chloe Decker.
