‘Family Guy’ Pays Tribute to Adam West with the Best Moments from Mayor Adam West Highlight Reel
The late Adam West was best known for his iconic portrayal of Batman in the 1960s however, arguably his second most iconic role would be playing the role of himself, sort of. West was absolutely hilarious as the character of Mayor Adam West from the Fox hit series, Family Guy. Mayor West was basically a hilariously outlandish version of himself and became a series regular in the year 2000.
Appearing in over 100 episodes, West certainly left an imprint on the animated city of Quohog, on the fans of the television series and, for sure, on series creator Seth MacFarlane. Just over a month ago, upon learning of his passing, MacFarlane tweeted the following:
“Family Guy has lost its mayor, and I have lost a friend. Adam West was a joy to work with, and the kind of guy you always wanted to be around. His positivity, good nature, and sense of fun were undeniable, and it was always a big jolt of the best kind of energy when he walked in to record the show. He knew comedy, and he knew humanity.
Shortly after his passing, Family Guypaid tribute to their friend by dedicating an episode of the series in his honor. Today, we can all join in and relive the hilarious one-liners and outlandish actions of Mayor Adam West thanks to an awesome tribute video which Fox has posted on their YouTube page.
The video is approximately 9 minutes long and highlights many of West’s most hilarious moments on the animated series. Watching this video is sure to make you laugh but will also leave you with a tear in your eye.
