Watch ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Kristian Nairn “Hold the Door” for Some Unsuspecting Fans

Warning: Possible Game of Thrones spoilers ahead though, at what point can we say enough time has passed and things are no longer considered to be a spoiler any longer.  Oh, who knows.  Just to play it safe, do not read on if you are not caught up with the series!

If you are a true Game of Thrones fan and someone asks you to, “hold the door,” for them, are you able to do so without busting out into tears over the loss of our beloved Hodor yet?  We’re still not quite over that loss but, this awesome Instagram post from Kristian Nairn who played Hodor on the hit HBO series is helping, just a little bit.

Nairn shared a video earlier this week of himself galavanting around Northern Ireland and having some fun with unsuspecting fans who were on a Game of Thrones tour.  TripAdvisor planned the whole Hodor surprise as part of their promotion of the series themed tours.  The video below took place during TripAdvisor’s Giant’s Causeway Tour in Belfast, the same location where scenes from the Iron Islands were filmed.

Nairn hid behind some doors, popped out from behind those doors to surprise the tourists and then proceeded to literally hold the door along with some help from the tour group.  The whole video is pretty awesome.  Well, anything Kristian Nairn does is awesome, like this GoT themed KFC ad.  We love it but, we whole-heartedly miss the faithful and noble Hodor on the series.

Check out the video below from Nairn’s Instagram.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones will premiere this Sunday, July 16th at 9 pm EST on HBO. 3 more days!
