Imagine that you are walking through your town or city on your way to work. You decided to stop off at the local Starbucks, just like you would do normally. Everything seems status quo. You wait your turn, step to the counter, order your beverage and then step to the pick-up area to wait for your order.
While you wait, the baristas begin to call out names of other customers that had been waiting in line before you. One by one, they pick up their drinks and walk out on their merry way. It’s just your normal, everyday moments in a coffee shop, right? That’s just what the customers in the video clip below thought until they received a super surprise from the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
In order to promote the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming film, Sony Entertainment decided to have a little fun with some unsuspecting Starbucks customers. The film studio set up for a prank involving everyone’s favorite web-slinger himself, Spider-Man because apparently, even superheroes need coffee.
Watch the video below as unsuspecting New Yorkers are greeted by a ceiling-swinging superhero just picking up his Starbucks order. Also, since this is a Marvel production and all, be on the lookout for a very special cameo from Stan Lee. Check it out:
The upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming film contains a star-studded cast including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. The film is directed and co-written by Jon Watts, who is new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be swinging into theaters, most likely with his coffee in hand, on July 7th.
