Check Out Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Deadpool 2’ Ab Workout

If you had to name the biggest Deadpool fan ever, it would be Ryan Reynolds. The film is something he’d been working to make happen for years and from the moment the project received the green light, he took on the persona of Deadpool.

From the attitude and the snark to the costume and the workout routine behind it, Ryan is getting into the Deadpool state of mind and he’s shown that in a couple of ways lately. First, was the post to social media of Deadpool laying in front of the X-Mansion.

With that classic Deadpool snark, he added ‘Big f— surprise. No one’s home.’

This shows that Deadpool will go even farther into the X-Men Cinematic Universe and he is making sure he’s ready for whatever comes his way in the next film.

So, when we talked about those ways that Ryan is showing his excitement for the film? Well, the second thing is a post that shows he’s back to getting into peak physical shape for the film (but…is he ever not totally fit?).

In a video posted to Instagram by ‘superhero trainer’ Don Saladino, you see Ryan working out his abs in preparation for the movie.

@vancityreynolds performs one of his favorite ab exercises in preparation for #deadpool2 – Exercise "Reverse crunch with a lift" – What it works? Abdominals and core – How I use it? At the end of my workout with my abdominal training. Try 3 sets of 10-15 reps. Discontinue the lift portion when it becomes to difficult to perform. – How do I execute? Lie on the floor or a decline bench. Make sure to keep your lower back flat. Pull your legs towards your torso and then drive your legs to the ceiling. Always stay under perfect control. Try not to use any momentum. – Go to DonSaladino.com for my blog, tips, and nutrition. – You can also download my workouts @fitner_app – #suitup #superhero #ryanreynolds #training  #gymmafia #donsaladino #deadpooltraining

Don says this is one of Ryan’s favorite ab exercises, the ‘reverse crunch with a lift’ and he makes it look absolutely effortless. Don also recommends what people at home can do to intertwine this move into their own workouts.

We aren’t sure we could do that with the level of ‘smooth’ that Ryan does, but we’ll be using that in our routines for sure. Have you seen Ryan’s abs? Sign us up!
