Would Cars 4 Bring With it a New Star?

Cars 3 is the talk of the film world right now and it will undoubtedly go down as one of the best-animated films of our time. The story is inspirational, it’s sweet, and it’s got the same humor the first two films had without being overdone. When McQueen met Cruz at the Rust-eze Training Center, he wasn’t expecting to learn anything from her at all. By the end of the film, he’d learned a lot about himself and about Cruz and she helped him every step of the way.

Their relationship is what made Cars 3, and the end of the film laid the groundwork for future films but it also left a few questions in the minds of fans. If Cars 4 gets made, will another star be the focus of the film? Have we truly seen McQueen’s last run?

We spoke about this earlier and we don’t think that’s the case at all, we think that the end of Cars 3 was truly about the power being in McQueen’s hands and that’s what he wanted. From there, he gets to make the decisions and he seemed everything but done racing by the end. His focus was just no longer on his own win. and the people over at Slash Film spoke with the director Brian Fee

The people over at Slash Film spoke with the director Brian Fee about what might happen if Cars 4 gets put into production and Brian had this to say about another character becoming the star.

I think there could [be a different character as the star] if it feels right.  I mean, I think never say never.  And I think you can make a good movie about anything if you have if the audience can connect.  Right, I think that’s what it boils down to.  Can the audience relate to the story?

Right now, fans can definitely relate to what’s happening between McQueen and Cruz – they’ve gone from two people with their own agendas to a pair of friends who’ve learned that they’re stronger together than they are apart.

Have you seen the film yet? What did you think of it, and do you see a place for Cars 4? Let us know.
