The Jurassic franchise is one that has won over the love of people all around the world for years on end. I mean, it has dinosaurs involved, and that is pretty darn exciting if you ask me. The series, including the new World movies, has gained and held a consistent and rather large fandom.
Since the very first Jurassic Park stormed onto our screens, the movies have not really been making nods to the original novel that was written by Michael Crichton; until now.
Colin Trevorrow spoke recently in an interview about how his work on the upcoming Jurassic World 2, and admitted that the 2018 sequel would lean heavily on dialogue used in the original book, saying:
You know, I did rely on [Michael] Crichton for a lot. I used a lot of Crichton dialogue.
I have to admit, it will be pretty cool to see nods to the novel. I’ve always had a high level of respect for directors and writing teams that make the effort to include the author into the process, especially since they are the one’s who planted the seed into the world of literature and media.
This news, in addition to the return of Jeff Goldblum, is going to partake in this movie being highly successful. The World movie amazed us with its superb visuals and nostalgic storyline, so we anticipate the sequel to be as good as (if not more so) amazing!
