If you’ve ever lived in a small town, then you know just how crazy it can be. Everybody knows everybody else’s business and history. It can be quite stressful. Now, imagine that a mysterious mist which alters the way people behave rolled into the town. Complete and total anarchy, right?
That’s pretty much the environment and setting for Spike’s television adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist. Set in a small Maine town by the name of Bridgeville, the town is described as a pressure cooker, even before the mysterious mist takes over.
The below featurette titled The Mist: “Welcome to Bridgeville” gives audiences an overview of what the town is like, some insight into who the main characters are and more importantly, their relationships with each other. There’s the close knit family, the jock, the cop and many others familiar small town staples. Watch the featurette below to get an idea of how they all connect.
The series stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Frances Conroy. The official synopsis for Spikes The Mist is below:
