Paley Center Hosts American Horror Story Exhibit

If you’re a fan of American Horror Story, you’ll probably want to plan a road trip to Los Angeles before July 30th once you find out about their latest exhibit. It’s going to appeal to fans of the series and bring you up close and personal with some props from the show, set pieces, and some of the beautifully done costumes from the show’s run so far.

In a statement made last week by President and CEO of Paley Center Maureen J. Reidy, the focus of AHS was explained and Reidy said that they’re honored to be the very first to present this sort of exhibit on the ‘game-changing series’.

Ryan Murphy is one of the most innovative and original creators in the industry and we are honored to be the first to present this visually stunning retrospective exhibit celebrating his game-changing series. Every year, the Paley Center presents exhibits that capture the unique combination of artistry and entertainment, and we’re thrilled to give American Horror Story fans an opportunity to get up close and enjoy the collaborations between Murphy, costume designer Lou Eyrich and all of the fearless creatives behind the hit FX series.’

The show has been a monumental way to bring classic horror with a modern twist to viewers across the world in a way that isn’t all ‘girls running up the stairs when they should be running out the door’ and ‘serial killers who prey on unsuspecting victims at camp or on Halloween’. Those films and the series’ based off of them are incredible, and they’re historic in ‘horror’ but this series blazed its own trail and it’s left a lasting impression on viewers.

FX Networks Senior VP – integrated promotions and platform marketing – Kenya Hardaway, had this to say about the series and how incredible it’s been to introduce it to the Paley Center.

American Horror Story captivates with each stunning new installment, showcasing the enormous creativity of Ryan Murphy and costume designer Lou Eyrich. We are proud to partner with The Paley Center for Media to bring together in one amazing exhibit six installments of the iconic art, costumes and props in celebration of the groundbreaking and hugely influential American Horror Story.’

The exhibit is open now and will run through July 30th you can find out how to get tickets to the exhibit and other ways to enhance your trip at the website, here.
