The New Terrifying ‘It Comes at Night’ Trailer is Here
If there’s one important takeaway from the first, and second, trailers for the terrifying new thriller It Comes at Night it’s this…the red door stays closed and locked all the time. It’s important to remember how adamant Paul, played by Joel Edgerton, is about that.
That being said, it’s also worth mentioning that the door does not stay closed and locked all the time, and it’s clear that the discourse seems to come from a family that Paul and his family aim to help. There’s something that goes on out in the woods, something terrifying, and it comes at night.
The first trailer debuted on May 1st and we were absolutely taken by it from the beginning. However, the new trailer is, even more, attention grabbing, but this time, in a different way. There are quotes that appear on screen, anchored by a word that keeps them together. The fear builds slower, but it’s more primal. You almost don’t realize how terrifying it is until it’s over and you feel completely uneasy.
It also appears, at least…if you listen closely, that the family who takes in the guests may feel uneasy about their presence…perhaps they even turn on them?
Paranoia is just a kind of awareness, and awareness is just another form of love.
