‘Sidekick’, ‘The Flash’ Among 2017 Leo Award Winners

Sidekick, The Flash, and A Series of Unfortunate Events took home awards after Saturday’s Leo Awards.
Night one of the three night awards event celebrated the best in visual effects, costume design, make-up, and sound in television, short films, and films. Nominees included last year’s winners iZombie  for make-up, The Flash, and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
In the short drama categories, Sidekick took home three awards including best costume design for Elizabeth Dubney’s work, best make-up for Kari Anderson, Jen Kaminski, and Tina Teoli, and best visual effects. Armen Kevorkian won two awards not only for his work as part of the visual effects team in Sidekick but also his work with The Flash team on “King Shark.”
Legends of Tomorrow‘s Kristian Bailey took home the award for best sound for “Abominations.” A Series of Unfortunate Events took home awards for best make-up, beating out iZombie‘s team, and best hairstyling. Bates Motel won for best costume design and production design.
