Robert Pattinson on his Changed Appearance for ‘Good Time’ Film

Robert Pattinson doesn’t care about being a ‘Hollywood A-Lister’ – he doesn’t act for the fame and fortune that goes along with it. After the Twilight films, he began taking on roles very different than that of Edward Cullen and in films that had much deeper storylines. He went from an acting role to getting to play a character in stories.

That’s not to say that the Twilight films didn’t have their place in the entertainment world, it’s just not the place Robert wants to be in himself. With films like Remember Me, Water for Elephants, Little Ashes, and Maps To The Stars (sort of ironically), he’s been part of some movies that told real stories in the last decade.

His latest film, Good Time, is another story being told and it’s one where he plays a man on the run after his brother is arrested for a string of crimes the pair committed. He stops at nothing to save his brother from a terribly violent prison and meets people who change his life along the way. In the film, he looks very much unlike himself, and it was something he actually enjoyed.

Robert spoke recently on his look, how they shot the film, and how the character he played kept him from being noticed.

We experimented with a few different things. You’ve got these pock marks in the skin and no one recognizes you. We shot the movie on the streets of New York, and no one took a cell phone picture.

After being seen at Cannes, Robert Pattinson is getting some of his best reviews yet. The premise for the film is incredible and people are saying the character he’s playing is his best.

‘I feel like the character was a conduit for a lot of different people’s energies. I don’t know how much of it was really me other than being really manic. No one really sees that. That’s a private thing. I’m someone who just stops at a red light and I’m just revving.

Good Time is scheduled to be released in theaters this August.
