Dwayne Johnson looks back at ‘That 90’s Photo’ with Sentimental Instagram Post

Fans of Dwayne Johnson remember him at a lot of stages in his life; from his early wrestling days to his big breakout role in The Mummy and now, 30 + films later, he’s finishing up a press tour for Baywatch which premieres this Friday. During this tour, he’s been asked questions about the film, future projects, and even if he’d consider running for president.

It’s safe to say that life is pretty good for Dwayne Johnson, and it has been for some time now. However, he didn’t start off at the top, he worked his way there and he did that by having the confidence and the strength to never give up.

When you’re living the dream, it’s nice to take a step back to remember what you worked through to get there. Dwayne did that recently when he revisited one of his most infamous photos and brought along some sentimental value to the moment.

The caption for the side by side photo explains, in a bit of…detail…that he came from a place where he’d literally taken a mattress from a garbage dumpster outside of a…shady hotel. He couldn’t afford to buy his own, so he did what he had to. 21 years later, Dwayne took a photo in honor of that classic 90’s picture with the high hair and fanny pack, and while he laughed with us at the photo, he also shared the story of how we have to keep the faith that things will get better.

While the entire caption is perfect, the end gives us another little bit of advice, but it’s based on humor, and his ability to laugh at himself is something we should all strive to do as well.

ALWAYS remember to place a soft tissue under your left elbow as to protect the fabric of the cheap ass swag turtleneck that had you out here looking like a bad ass buff lesbian. Oh and tuck the thumb in the fanny pack. Always tuck the thumb.

Tuck the thumb and remember to keep the faith – we got it!
