The 2017 Billboard Music Awards just went down in Las Vegas and it will stand as a night to remember. With performances from up and coming artists to artists making their comeback and even collaborations between some of the biggest stars in the game – it was a night full of surprises on top of some incredible and well-deserved awards.

One of those collaborations came from Florida Georgia Line and John Legend, and it was legendary. John Legend performed his newest single, sat at the piano before Florida Georgia Line joined him on stage to sing a mashup of H.O.L.Y and ‘Surefire. All three of the men are powerhouses so the stage was absolutely immersed in talent. Whoever thought to bring them together was obviously on to something, we’d love to see a collaboration with them in the future.

Tyler Hubbard talked to E! on the Red Carpet before the Billboard Music Awards and said that John Legend is a hero of theirs and this performance was a dream.

That’s epic for us, he’s one of our heroes and somebody we really look up to.’

He went on to say that Tyler wrote with John Legend not long ago and that they hit it off, after that, it felt like the cards just fell into place.

Tyler actually got to write with him not too long ago and they hit it off and then it somehow came about, the universe just wanted it to happen. We found out through email and were like, ‘Of course we want to sing with John.’ Kinda stripped down, just us three on piano, our voices, it’s really really intimate. The fans are gonna love it and it sounds really good.

If you missed the performance, it should be up on social media soon, it’s a must-see.
