‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Prequel Hitting Theaters in October
Leatherface’s reign of terror continues.
Producer Christa Campbell took to Twitter on Friday to announce that a prequel for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre will be coming to theaters this Fall. “To all our leatherface fans out there, the movie will be released in October,” she wrote.
Titled Leatherface, the film “revolves around the kidnapping of a young nurse by four violent teens who escape from a mental hospital and take her on a road trip from hell. Pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge, one of these teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind, molding him into the monster, Leatherface.” Its cast includes Blade’s Stephen Dorff and The Conjuring’s Lili Taylor.
