‘The Exorcist’ Renewed For Season Two
In a surprising turn of events, The Exorcist lives to see another season at FOX.
The announcement was made just a few days before the network’s upfront presentations, with a statement promising “a new chapter of the iconic franchise.” In addition, FOX also suggested some potential creative changes for the series.
The Exorcist managed 3.2 million weekly viewers, and while the network does not consider those ratings great, it outperformed canceled series Rosewood (1.0), A.P.B. (1.2), Sleepy Hollow (0.9), and the yet to be determined Scream Queens (1.0).
The first season focused on two priests – Father Thomas Ortega and Father Marcus Keane – who worked to save the Rance family from a demonic presence in their home.
