If there is one summer flick that we have absolutely been looking forward to this summer, it is definitely Transformers: The Last Knight. Since last year, Michael Bay and Paramount Pictures have been teasing us with a consistent flow of new teaser photos and trailers.
If you are an avid Transformers fan, then we have some extremely exciting news for you. Paramount Pictures just announced that Transformers: The Last Knight is getting released sooner than originally planned. Rather than hitting theaters on Friday June 23rd as initially planned, The Last Knight will debut on Wednesday June 21st instead, according to the official Transformers and Paramount Pictures Facebook page.
Along with this announcement, Paramount revealed that there would be an ‘exclusive look’ at the new film airing during the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday. They also released a brand new poster for the film on their Facebook Page:
Okay, it’s no secret. Optimus Prime is clearly not himself. We’ve known that since the very first trailer debuted… and evil Optimus clearly has it out for his former Autobot friends.
Check out the official synopsis below:
Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock). There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
One thing that you will not regret, is seeing this film on the big screen. Personally, I will be checking this film out on the big screen… probably at the earliest showing possible!
