‘Supernatural’ 12×19 Preview “The Future”

On this week’s all-new ‘Supernatural’ time is running out to find Dagon and Kelly Kline. She’s nearing the end of the pregnancy and it’s pretty certain that there’s not a bundle of joy waiting for her at the end of this process.

“The Future” brings Castiel back into the mix. According to the episode synopsis below, it seems like Cas and the other angels will have a plan to deal with Kelly, but will they alone be able to take out Dagon? Now that Cas has been back to heaven, will reconnecting with his angel roots disconnect him from the Winchesters?

“The Future” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

KELLY MAKES A BOLD CHOICE – Sam (Jared Padalecki) comes up with a way to stop Lucifer’s (Mark Pellegrino) baby but Castiel (Misha Collins) has something else in mind for Kelly (guest star Courtney Ford). Dean (Jensen Ackles) is furious when he finds out someone stole the colt. Kelly makes a bold choice about the baby’s future.

Things are also going to be coming to a head with the British Men of Letters. Since they bugged the bunker in the last episode, they will have a much easier time locating the Colt. Sam and Dean are also both on Mr. Ketch’s list of problems to take care of. So, how much longer is he going to lead them around before trying to take them out? Maybe, he’ll try to orchestrate their demise once they locate Kelly Kline. I wouldn’t put it past Ketch to try and kill two birds with one stone. Take out the Devil’s baby mama and the Winchesters in one shot.

Question is, will he try to take out Mary too? We didn’t see her name added to the kill pile, so is she going to be a target too? I like to think that Mary is a pretty smart lady for having been dead for over thirty years. Even though she had initial struggles with the new way of the world and mistakes with not disclosing important information to her boys, her senses are still sharp. I hope she’s smart enough to catch on to Mr. Ketch and stop him before he can do any real damage.

Now that the season is starting to wind down, there are still many questions and situations that need resolving. Aside from Kelly and Dagon, the issue of the British Men of Letters needs to be dealt with, as does Crowley’s little house pet.

How long does he think that he can keep Lucifer caged? The vessel is warded, but we know that Luci isn’t going to stand for this much longer. One way or another, he’s going to get free. As much as Crowley can be a loathsome creature, his charm and wit would be missed should he suffer under the Devil’s thumb. If Lucifer is successful of freeing himself from Crowley’s command, I highly doubt the King of Hell’s punishment will be wearing a Hawaiian shirt and licking the floor clean again.

‘Supernatural’ 12×19 “The Future” airs on Thursday, April 27th on The CW.
