‘Perfect Strangers’ Stars Bronson Pinchot and Mark Linn-Baker Reunite After 25 Years

Do you remember the popular 80’s sitcom Perfect Strangers?  Sure you do!  The show followed the lovable set of miss-matched cousins Larry and Balki.  Larry Appleton (played by Mark Linn-Baker), was an American with a corporate job living in Chicago, Illinois. Balki Bartokomous (played by Bronson Pinchot) was from the Greek Island of Mypos and was Larry’s long-lost cousin who, unbeknownst to Larry, came to live with him in Chicago.

The pair were definitely complete opposites but, that made for hilarious 80’s humored television on a show that ran for an impressive 8 seasons from 1986 to 1993 on ABC.  Check out the original opening theme credits for the classic sitcom:

What became of the beloved cousins after the show went off the air? For the first time in nearly 25 years, the duo reunited during an interview for New York radio station 106.7 Lite FM.  Check out the reunion photo below:

During their interview, the pair laughed and reminisced about hilarious behind-the-scenes memories and revealed that, they had an amazing chemistry immediately upon first meeting.  After all these years, they can still finish each other’s sentences which, Pinchot said they were ale to do from day one. Pinchot continued:

“The first time I did a comedy without Mark, it was like when they take a person who’s sightless and they move the furniture,” said the actor. “I was like, ‘What? Where’s the guy who reads my mind?'”

Pinchot and Linn-Baker are both at Chiller Theater Expo in Parsippany, N.J. this weekend if you want to journey out to meet them.

As someone who was a devoted fan to Perfect Strangers, just this reunion photo alone makes me want to do Balki’s “Dance of Joy”!
