Three Added as Cast Regulars to The Walking Dead Season 8

The Walking Dead season seven ended a few weeks ago and fans are already anticipating season eight. Filming for the season is rumored to begin in a few weeks: Typically, filming begins around the first week of May but no date has been officially confirmed.

Speculation has begun about storyline for the upcoming season and fans hope this will be the All Out War arc from the comics.

TVLine just broke the news that three characters have been promoted to series regulars in season eight. We will see more of Steven Ogg, PollyAnna McIntosh and Katelyn Nacon. Ogg plays the intimidating Simon, Negan’s right hand man, McIntosh is Jadis, the leader of the Scavengers and Nacon portrays Enid, Carl’s crush and new Hilltop resident.

Showrunner Scott M. Gimple recently spoke to TVLine and says “season eight will carry “a different momentum” than previous seasons now that the various factions — i.e. the Saviors, the Alexandrians, the Hilltoppers, etc. — have taken their conflict public. “It’s going to become a bit more kinetic and fast-moving, because that’s where the story is going,” he previewed. “The content is definitely going to be determining the form.”

The Walking Dead season eight will premiere in the Fall of 2017. Stay up to date with the latest TWD news on Fan Fest.
