When you think of the The Fast and Furious – you think of a few things: fast cars, an incredible cast, and Paul Walker. Walker was part of the film franchise until his untimely death which left a huge hole in the entertainment industry. His memory is not long forgotten though. Friends and loved ones still frequently share memories of Walker in photos on social media and in interviews – especially the F&F cast.

Recently, Vin Diesel spoke about Paul Walker and how he felt his presence through the filming of Fate of the Furious which hits theaters this weekend.

There wasn’t a day, there wasn’t a scene, there wasn’t a second where I didn’t have Paul with me in the making of this movie.

Diesel also spoke of a conversation he had with Walker’s mom after his passing where she apologized to him for the loss and in that moment, he truly realized the impact of what life would be like without a man who’d grown to be his brother.

At that moment it was like I had just realized she was telling me something I wasn’t even aware of. I wasn’t aware of how profound the loss was.

At the premiere of Fate of the Furious, Diesel had this to say about Walker and what he will always mean to the films.

We have a lot of great talent in this movie. But there would be no Dwayne Johnson, who we love, there would be no Jason Statham, who we love, there would be no Charlize, who we love, there would be no Scott Eastwood, who we love, there would be no Kurt Russell, who we love, if it wasn’t for the decades of work that my brother Pablo put into this franchise. When you see this movie, know that this is from love.”

Fate of the Furious is the 8th film in the series and it is the ‘darkest’ in the franchise so far. Emotions are running high in this one. See it yourself in theaters this weekend.
