The DC Animated Universe is gifting us with another original movie, featuring Harley Quinn.
Harley was first introduced in 1992 in Batman: The Animated Series and made her first comic book appearance in 1993. Since then, she has become an iconic antagonist in the DC world.
Now in Batman And Harley Quinn, Harley teams up with Batman and Nightwing to stop a global catastrophe brought on by Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing.
And The Big Bang Theory’s Melissa Rauch will be the voice of Harley!
“I love that Harley is a badass and, beyond that, that she uses her humor as another weapon in her arsenal. She knows just how to diffuse a situation with her humor, and how to incite a situation with her sarcasm. It’s a dream role,” Rauch said.

Rauch went on to explain that she can pull of the iconic character because she is from New Jersey and will have no problem slipping back into her native accent.
“I knew Harley had a higher pitched tone, and a bit of a New York accent — and I come from a New Jersey family where everyone could be former gun molls. So I wanted to give a nod to my background without being as shrill. In all honesty, I used to speak exactly like that — my acting school professors really worked the accent out of me. So it was fun to find those tones and accent again.”
Co- Creator Bruce Trimm is keeping the style of this movie similar to that of when Batman: The Animated Series was first introduced. And to keep things feeling familiar, Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester are back to voice Batman and Nightwing.
Additional casting includes Paget Brewster as Poison Ivy, and John DiMaggio as Swamp Thing along with Eric Bauza, Rob Paulsen, Robin Atkin Downes, Mindy Sterling, Trevor Devall.
Batman and Harley Quinn is said to be released this summer on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download.
