Warning! SPOILERS AHEAD! Do NOT climb any further up this mountain if you are not caught up with season 2 of WGN’s Outsiders!
Hi Cousins! Tuesday night is fast approaching and we are gearing up for what’s sure to be another outstanding episode. One things for sure, with the impeccable writing on this show, we have no idea what’s going to happen next but, we can almost guarantee that it will be full of grit, wit and crazy twists and turns.
We have some sneak peek photos from this week’s upcoming episode title Loyal to the Bone but, first, let’s take a look at the promo and do a quick recap of where we are heading into this week.
Our Bren’In, G’Win, is ALIVE!!! Last week, she was in grave condition, battling for her life but, after Elon visited Big Foster, with a renewed faith, he got to his knees with the rest of the family and prayed to the mountain for the healing of the Bren’In. At the end of the episode, G’Win bravely emerged from the house and stood, by her own will, in front of her kin. To be honest, I haven’t always been a G’Win fan but, she is certainly deeply respected and loved by the Farrells. I am beginning to think there is strength and leadership within her that we have yet to see and I think we are about to see some of that coming in this episode as she prepares to battle the outsiders from the town who are poisoning their resources.
Each week, my concern grows for Sheriff Wade Houghton and how he’s holding up. Houghton and Ledda finally made the difficult decision to tell Ledda’s kids about her illness. After abruptly ending up in the hospital, Ledda finally agreed it was time. Just prior to that, however, Houghton was dealing with some strong (albeit true) accusations from Matt Meyers implying his involvement with Li’l Foster’s prison break. Houghton has been hanging on and pretty much just getting by but, boy, do I have a feeling that something big is coming his way and soon!
Hasil and Sally Ann’s relationship has been a little on the rocks lately. The two seem to be finding it difficult to accept each other’s worlds but, there was a glimmer of hope at the end of last week’s episode. Thanks to a little input from Frida and some fashionable inspiration from Butch, Hasil is spending his days incognito, in town with Sally Ann. What did we agree to call that look, Cousins? Was it Ged-GedNah? A disguise is not going to fix their issues and, the Farrell’s need Hasil just as much as Sally Ann does. Unfortunately, I think there are many more rough patches still a head for our favorite star-crossed couple, especially since we see in the preview that Big Foster is at their house! What is he doing there?!
Li’l Foster is back home on the mountain though we have yet to see how he will readjust to Farrell life after living in prison for as long as he did. Clearly, things got violent between him and Big Foster but, that’s also a lifetime of pent up anger all coming to the surface. Was that a sign that we may have a more violent Li’l Foster on our hands? Has he really forgiven G’Win?
And lastly, we come to Haylie and Gordon. After that wild night of Blackburg Mountain Mix love making, Gordon was able to hack into Haylie’s confidential emails. You better believe that he’s going to blast that information out to whomever will listen. Or, maybe he’ll use that info to black mail Haylie and finally convince her to go up the mountain with him to see what she’s killing. We’ll have to wait and see how that all unfolds.
Ged-Ged Ready, Cousins! I have a feeling this episode is going to have some shocking surprises in store for us!
