History Channel Isn’t Done With Travis Fimmel Yet
History Channel has announced that they will be teaming up with Travis Fimmel of Vikings fame and Atlas Entertainment who brought us Warcraft, to bring a scripted anthology series about Wyatt Earp and other famous sinners from throughout History.
The project is about as much Travis Fimmel as you can imagine, he is signed on as an executive producer, he wrote the first episode, and will be starring as Earp. In the first installment of the series you will see the complicated relationship Earp had with other infamous characters in the old west and the real story of what went down at the legendary gun fight at the OK Corral. In a press release from A&E Networks Fimmel had this to say about the upcoming series;
“I’ve always been fascinated with what motivates people’s transgressions and the scandalous journey into infamy,” said Fimmel. “I wanted to re-examine stories people think they know without the rose-colored glasses of Hollywood and let the audience decide for themselves if people like Wyatt Earp were sinners or victims of life circumstances. When it came time to bring this project together I knew HISTORY, A+E Studios, Atlas and Imperative would be great partners.”
While there is no air date yet for the series we are excited to see more as it develops!
