‘Throwback Thursday’: The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Now this is a story for all ages! ‘Throwback Thursdays’ are back at Fan Fest News and what better way to make our debut than with a classic, favorite TV Show. You know his face, you know the tune (heck the lyrics are probably playing through your head right now), today on ‘Throwback Thursday’ we will be talking about The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was a sitcom that originally aired on NBC from September 10, 1990, to May 20, 1996. This show was incredibly uniquely based off of a true story; the shows main star, Will Smith portrayed a fictionalized version of himself. A street-smart teenager from West Philadelphia who was sent to move in with his wealthy aunt and uncle in their Bel Air mansion after getting into a fight on a local ‘b-ball’ court.
The series ran for six seasons and aired approximately 150 episodes.
