Entertainment Weekly

While Donald Trump will be sworn into office come Friday, Broadway’s elite stars are taking the opportunity to make the very best out of a horrible situation.

According to Entertainment Weekly, at 3pm Friday, three hours after Trump is officially made President, the “Concert for America: Stand Up, Sing Out!” will take place at the Manhattan Town Hall in order to showcase “the diversity and hope that is America at its best.” The lineup includes Chita Rivera, Kelli O’Hara, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Betty Buckley, Jessie Mueller, Billy Porter, Sharon Gless, Andrea Martin, Bebe Neuwirth, Lillias White, Judy Gold, Caroline Rhea, Stephanie Mills, Charles Busch, Rosie O’Donnell, and Rosie Perez. Proceeds from the concert will go to Planned Parenthood, NAACP, Sierra Club Foundation, Southern Poverty Law Center, and National Immigration Law Center.

Elsewhere, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Moore, Alec Baldwin, Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Al Sharpton will also be taking a stand against Trump, protesting in front of his New York hotel this Thursday at 6pm, as reported by Us Weekly.
