The Walking Dead fans were first introduced to Steven Ogg in the season six finale as Simon, the right hand man of the baddest in the land, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Although we didn’t see much of him in the season premiere, he definitely became our favorite Savior in “Go Getters” with his menacing charm and smooth talking. But what does the future hold for Simon?

Comic Book.com has exclusively learned that Steven will star in a new Sci-Fi film named Solis, about an engineer of an asteroid mining company who endures the extreme limits, both physical and psychological, of human survival, trapped inside an escape pod as he helplessly drifts towards the sun. Filming is already underway in England with Steven’s latest Instagram post showing him taking flight:

With this news, it’s quite possible that Simon may be killed off in the mid-season finale as part of the synopsis reads “things quickly spin out of control.” Another scenario is that due to his filming schedule, we might not see Steven as often on The Walking Dead, as is the current situation with Corey Hawkins, who’s starring in 24: Legacy and Kong: Skull Island, leaving Heath’s faith up in the air.

Steven – best known for his voice role as Trevor Phillips in Grant Theft Auto 5 – also has a recurring role on HBO’s Westworld (airing alongside The Walking Dead at 9pm) and was also seen on fellow AMC series Better Call Saul earlier this year.

No matter the outcome that Steven’s newest role will have on his role as Simon, we look forward to seeing a lot more of him on our screens, especially in Solis!
