‘Arrow’: Stephen Amell talks Oliver’s Biggest Regret

Living the life of a vigilante is never an easy task and Oliver has definitely lived an incredibly hard life, with special emphasis on the last decade. (5 years ‘on’ Lian Yu and another 5 back in Star City). Like myself, Oliver frequently finds himself at fault for absolutely everything that is going wrong in Star City. Damian Darhk? His fault. The destruction of the Glades? His fault. A leaf falling off a tree outside? His fault.

Arrow

No matter how hard he tries to better Star City, there is always something that goes wrong… whether that be with the city in general, or in Oliver’s personal life.

According to star Stephen Amell, in a recent panel at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Atlanta (via Comicbook.com), Stephen talked about how one incident sticks out as something Oliver would give anything to undo:

I think his biggest regret is probably not being able to save his mom. For sure, that’s tough. We actually viewed that episode in Walla Walla. We did a random viewing party, and we set it up — ‘It’ll be really fun! There’s like 200 people there!’ And the episode ends, and everyone stared at me like I had just tricked them into something.

I would certainly have to agree with the fact that Moira’s murder at the hands of Slade Wilson (Deathstroke) was the most shocking tragedy that has ever occurred on Arrow. You may or may not have been a Moira fan, but you cannot deny the fact that her death certainly shook up the show.

Even though Moira’s death was back in Season 2, Oliver has still had a hailstorm of traumatic events occur since then. His relationship with Felicity his a snag, and he also lost one of his closest comrades, Laurel Lance.  I have to say, Laurel’s death was equally as shocking. How many people that Oliver loves are going to be murdered right in front of him?

Well, good news, Arrow fans. Susanna Thompson and Katie Cassidy will be back on the set of Arrow! For their 100th episode, they are pulling out so many amazing characters from the past.

Be sure to stay tuned with us for more details on this upcoming, epic crossover! This week! 🙂
