Nielsen Social Ratings: November 14 – November 20

Another week, another set of Nielsen Social Ratings released!

As a lot of television is heading into its midseason hiatus, the Nielsen Social Ratings are starting to become populated with TV specials and award shows. Last week saw the 2016 American Music Awards and Latin Grammys take the top two spots in the rankings. Following both award shows was Empire, scoring above The Walking Dead, the latter taking the number four spot.

Elsewhere, Monday Night RAW landed the number eight spot while last week’s shocking How To Get Away with Murder winter finale, which revealed the identity of who was under the sheet, scored the number six spot.

As a refresher: the Content Ratings use the total number of social interactions across Facebook and Twitter to rank the top 10 series/specials and sporting events, separately. The chart includes uniques, which are “unique social media accounts that have authored original content related to a linear TV episode or engaged with that content,” and interactions, which are “original social media posts related to a linear TV episode and the engagement with that content.”
