Nic and Norman’s – a ‘must visit’ for any fan of The Walking Dead
If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, Senoia, Georgia is probably one of the top three places on your ‘must visit’ list. Not only does The Walking Dead film there, the center of the town is home to The Woodbury Shoppe, The Walking Dead Cafe, and Nic and Norman’s – Norman Reedus and Greg Nicotero’s restaurant where Norman frequently enjoys a meal of his own.
When we planned our visit to Senoia, Nic and Norman’s was our first stop and since we visited during Walker Stalker Con, we had about a two-hour wait to be seated, but it was well worth the moments spent walking around Senoia waiting for our table.
Not only is Nic and Norman’s a restaurant with delicious meal options and an array of drinks, there are shirts you can purchase to commemorate your visit along with glasses, pens, copies of Norman’s book, and even a frisbee with the logo printed on the front. There are also some tabletop games to keep you occupied while you wait as well as framed art along the walls that you can check out during your visit.
While the entire menu was full of mouth-watering appetizers and entrees, we went with the Salmon Flatbread and our drink of choice was a bottle of Dry Creek Merlot. Even with the all day rush we got our food without much of a wait and our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive – the staff of an establishment is just as important as it’s product and Nic and Norman’s has the best of both.
The photos, while lovely, don’t do the feel of the restaurant justice – it’s got a very rustic and comfortable vibe while still being classy and memorable, much like Norman himself. You can tell both Norman and Greg put a lot into making sure this restaurant was incredible , especially because it’s become a staple to The Walking Dead’s fan base – people plan trips from miles away just to grab a bite at Nic and Norman’s. We know, we did it!
Nic and Normans is the perfect dinner stop for Atlanta’s Walker Stalker Convention weekend and we strongly suggest you make a visit of your own to the restaurant, you won’t regret it.
