Walker Stalker Con Atlanta brought with it three incredible days of celebrity meet and greets, photo ops, panels, and vendors that made sure every single person in attendance had a good time. Also, with the convention falling close to Halloween, there were extra spooks and scares through the weekend and one of the most exciting parts of the convention – a Halloween Party hosted by Tom Payne.
Tom’s House of Payne happened Saturday, October 29th and convention attendees were treated to spooky video clips displayed across large screens, themed drinks – our favorite was the blood punch, decorations including a skull backdrop for incredible photo opportunities, dancers that appeared to float across the stage, a photo booth where Tom enjoyed snaps with his guests, and a costume contest!
The competition was stiff when those donned in costumes took the stage to be applauded by the guests at the party. While it was hard to narrow down a top three – everyone looked fabulous – Shaun of the Dead, The Purge, and a Zombie Bob Ross were the finalists and the ultimate winner was the latter who took home a $500 prize!
The costumes of everyone in the audience were great too; from zombies and vampires to Disney princesses and even a larger than life Groot – the entire ballroom looked incredible.
If the dancers, costumes, and drinks weren’t enough; the music all evening came from two incredible DJ’s in the form of some of today’s hits and hard rock classics for the perfect Halloween playlist. However, that’s not the best part quite yet.
Yep, there was a Stranger Things band who invited Tom on stage for two songs that had everyone on their feet singing along! He accompanied the band in ‘Everlong’ and ‘Highway to Hell’ before the DJ’s took over for the night so everyone could get into costume and enjoy the rest of the evening.
If you didn’t make it out to the party this year, don’t fret, chances are next year’s party will be just as incredible and you’ve got a lot of time to plan that perfect costume and prepare for what special guests may take the stage in 2017!
