Jeremy Irons On His Role in ‘Justice League’ And The ‘Batman’ Movie

Anyone knows Jeremy Irons because of his role in Batman V. Superman. He was a great and sarcastic type of Alfred and we loved it.

He sat down with variety and told them exactly his future plans in Justice League and the Batman movie. He was asked if he’ll have more to do in ‘Justice League’ and he has an answer ready!

“Similar, but then, of course, Ben’s going to make a Batman film next summer. He promises me there’s going to be a bit more of Alfred in that. In the “Justice League” we have seven major lead characters and I’m the butler to one of them. It’s clear I will not be dominating that film.”

He also was asked what his approach was to Alfred and, of course, he had a very interesting story:

“I remember an evening with Paul Getty, who was a neighbor of mine, now sadly dead. We drove up to his lovely house. A very nice gentleman opened up the car door. Then another very nice gentleman took the car and parked it somewhere. Another nice gentleman took my coat. And then another nice gentleman gave me a glass of champagne. And all those nice gentleman were SAS. I thought, that’s Alfred. He’s a man who will take care of his boss, whether he’s making coffee or pouring champagne or flying his airplane.”

As not so many people know, his take on Alfred was based on Batman: Earth One graphic novel, which means he did time in the British special forces. It makes sense, he can sew his boss up and he can hold himself in a fight.

For the rest, Jeremy Irons will be seen in the Assassins Creed movie this December and he’ll appear in Justice League on November 17, 2017.
