Nielsen Social Ratings: October 17 – October 23

Another week of fall television, another week of Nielsen Social Ratings. Given what aired this past week, there aren’t many surprises. Let’s talk social ratings.

The final Presidential Debate before the Election took the top spot in the Social Ratings, earning over 53 million interactions across social media. The number two spot doesn’t come as a surprise either as The Walking Dead premiered last night and had people talking about a fan favorite whose fate met Negan’s bat well into Monday (and are still trying to get over the shock).  Meanwhile, Talking Dead notched the number six spot.

Fox’s Rocky Horror Picture got the number three spot while last week’s Monday Night RAW stuck it out in the ratings taking the number four spot.

Check out the full ranking below.

As a refresher: the Content Ratings use the total number of social interactions across Facebook and Twitter to rank the top 10 series/specials and sporting events, separately. The chart includes uniques, which are “unique social media accounts that have authored original content related to a linear TV episode or engaged with that content,” and interactions, which are “original social media posts related to a linear TV episode and the engagement with that content.”
