Put on your dress robes, grab your wands and get ready for a weeklong event that you won’t want to miss!  For the first time ever, all eight Harry Potter films will be showing in IMAX theaters.  IMAX announced today that the film series will be shown beginning October 13th for a one week only engagement.

For the first time ever, the first two installments of the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, will be getting the IMAX treatment and will be digitally re-mastered for the viewing.

In addition to the weeklong magical event, muggle attendees (and wizardly attendees as well) will be treated to a first look at never-before-seen footage of J.K. Rowling’s upcoming highly anticipated film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.  The new film is due out in theaters on November 18th.

For more information of the magical marathon and to find a participating theater near you, check out the IMAX webpage.
