James Corden & The Backstreet Boys are Bringing Boy Bands Back
James Corden and The Late Late Show may be on to something…modern day boy bands are lacking. As James would tell you, they don’t do synchronized dances anymore or wear matching denim outfits, or have outlandish over the top music videos.
“They just stand on stage wearing skinny jeans and Vans sneakers and some of them—some of them—even have the audacity to pick up instruments,” he said. So what gives? The boy band era of the late 90’s and early 2000’s was a magical time for music. There was *NSYNC, O-Town, LFO, 98 Degrees, and above all The Backstreet Boys who have sold over 130 million albums worldwide.
So, what better way to prove his point that proper boy bands need a comeback than to bring out the band that is currently leading the ultimate comeback? The Backstreet Boys.
Backstreet is just days away from ticket pre-sales for their upcoming Vegas residency, Larger Than Life and were happy to step up and show Late Late exactly what James was talking about.
Oh, and they even let the host himself get in on it. Check out the video below to see the boys in action!

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
